Has there been any news at all? I feel so much for you and your family.

Thanks.

No, there really is no new news. Rumors. Some people are saying that she is really still close to her home town. Some have said that she has thrown away her cell phone, but I sent her a text tonight anyway, asking that she just let us know that she is okay.

I talked with her mother tonight. She sounded very tired.

She could be traced using her mobile actually. Has this been done?

I do not know the details on the phone thing but it is my understanding that they have not been able to do that -- that she has not turned it on maybe? She lives in a rural area as well so it could be harder to pinpoint I think. I do not think it is a new enough phone to have gps in it. :shrugs:

Best of luck Aleta. My heart is with you.

Have you tried sending that same message to her e-mail? The younger generation is hard-pressed to ignore their e-mail these days (or facebook if she uses that, etc).

If you send a message telling her you are willing to be there, just to listen, just to provide a contact with the family, she may take you up on your offer.

She may be afraid of the family's reaction after all this trouble. If she is checking her e-mail then you can let her know that she is loved and forgiven and that may help her to make the steps to contact you and her family.

I don't know if that made any sense. I hope you find her soon.

Thanks Rubius.

Yes. What you say makes sense. Many of us are actually texting her. She seems to have sanitized her MySpace page -- which her mom hacked into. I do not have an email address for her though -- I should check on that. Her aunt and I and others have texted to say that she should at least just let us know that she is okay. One of the things that is hard in this tech world is that she could have pages and addresses that none of us know.
